A2 Media Studies Advanced Portfolio
Deadlines:
Your main product, including Research, Planning , needs should be completed by Christmas. You should aim to have the ancillary products, including the research, planning and evaluation complete by 27/3/15. Regular formative feedback will be given via feedback sheets and you should act on the advice given.
At all points you should keep the 4 main evaluation questions in mind.
The four questions that must be addressed in the evaluation are:
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
• How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
• What have you learned from your audience feedback?
• How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
At A2 you should read the guidance issued from the textbook and look at the Specification assessment guidelines at Level 4, to ensure you are working at an excellent level. Explore the links to the OCR blog and other students' past work to stay on track. Above all, make sure you make sure your blog is not just an online essay: use the full range of inventive new technology to showcase your creativity.
